Warsaw Drawings
by Kasia Polkowska
Warsaw
Self-Portrait, charcoal on museum board, 40" x 32", 2004 NFS
This is a reflection of me through my memory of Warsaw, my place of birth and the place where my first memories were formed. As a child, I found magic and felt a special connection to architecture. In my heart, these are the symbols of my first 'home'. I worked to show the strong, unalterable foundation that was built in Warsaw, side by side my fading memories, all becoming one, none-the-less unmistakable.
